What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking to appoint to the role of Careers and Enrichment Assistant within our support staff team. We are looking for someone who can source, organise, facilitate and supervise our careers provision and enrichment offer within school and work generally within our administrative team. The successful candidate will need to work closely with both a range of staff in school and with external partners to develop our careers and enrichment provision and will need to be able to work collaboratively and to use their initiative to ensure that our students receive a statutory and effective careers programme but are also able to benefit from a range of enrichment opportunities to realise our school vision of living life to the full. Careers interviews are outsourced and facilitated by qualified Careers Advisors working with Inspira, but this forms just part of the opportunities we deliver.

The successful candidate will be expected to become an integral member of the staff team and will be expected to demonstrate full commitment to the students, school and its community. You will need to be able to support and promote the Christian values embedded in school life and to support the wider ethos of the school.

What the school offers its staff

• A wonderful place to live and work on the edge of the Lake District World Heritage Site
• A welcoming and friendly school at the heart of the community with supportive parents, carers and wider stakeholders.
• Students who are well behaved, enthusiastic, appreciative and genuinely keen to learn.
• A team of professional, capable, well qualified and motivated teaching and support staff who are hardworking, have a tangible passion for the school and strive to ensure that all children achieve of their best.
• A strong, open, well informed and skilled Senior Leadership Team dedicated to transparency and the success of the school.
• A school committed to doing the best for its students.
• A school committed to the safety, wellbeing and support of students and staff.
• A high performing school.
• A challenge with a lot of reward.
• Well maintained accommodation and facilities.
