Job overview

Are you a registered Nurse/Midwife looking for a new challenge? Do you enjoy working in a busy and varied environment? Would you like to develop your knowledge and experience of immunisations?

Come and join our expanding immunisation team.

This role is part time 22.5 hours per week and Term Time Only

Main duties of the job

We are looking for Community Vaccinators  preferably with some immunisation experience to help deliver the School Aged Immunisation Programme in Primary, Secondary and Independent Schools as well as other community venues.

The ability to be flexible to meet the needs of the Service is essential, as is a willingness to explore alternative methods of immunisation delivery to reduce health inequalities in hard-to-reach groups.

The role offers a flexible working pattern, to meet service need. Although you will work from your base you may be required to attend other areas of the county, if required, either to vaccinate in schools or attend promotional events to increase immunisation uptake.

You will be offered the opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills through regular training and study days and by working alongside experienced colleagues.
