Crynodeb
You will be an enthusiastic and dynamic Dietitian with NHS experience who wishes to develop your research skills. You will work with the supervision and support of the consultant dietitian for the service to provide dietetic expertise on the delivery of clinical trials and in the development and set up of new research, evaluation and audit projects within the department, including the ongoing expansion of the dietitian-led indirect calorimetry service. You will be a core member of the well-established nutrition team, alongside medical, nursing and pharmacy colleagues, taking part in inpatient ward rounds, outpatient MDT clinics as required for research. You will be trained and supported in this role by the Consultant Dietitian for the service. To carry out dietetic assessment appropriate to role and experience, provide nutritional diagnosis and provide a dietetic treatment plan for patients / clients. To hold responsibility for own patient caseload including patients with complex presentations Maintain clinical records in line with local / Trust documentation guidelines To liaise with dietetic colleagues and other members of the multidisciplinary team as necessary e.g. Medical, nursing, catering and other health care professionals To work within National and Trust policies / guidelines; and HCPC and BDA standards and codes of conduct To have a solid understanding of national and local standards and able to monitor own practice against these To participate in bank holiday working and work flexible hours to meet the needs of the patients if required For further details of the role please see the attached job description.
