Your Role as an SEN TA

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll provide tailored support to pupils either one-on-one or in small groups. Working closely with experienced teaching staff, you'll assist in creating engaging, inclusive lessons that meet the unique needs of each learner.

Key Responsibilities

Support students with SLD and PMLD on a daily basis; providing both academic and emotional guidance

Assist with implementing personalised learning programmes developed by the teacher or SENCO

Use communication tools such as Makaton, PECS, and visual aids to enhance understanding and engagement

Foster independence and self-confidence in students through consistent encouragement

What We're Looking For

Previous experience as a SEN TA; ideally with pupils with SLD or PMLD (desirable but not essential)
