Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed English Teacher to join a secondary school team. The successful candidate will inspire students to develop a love of language and literature while achieving their full academic potential. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as an English Teacher:
Plan and deliver engaging English Language and Literature lessons across KS3–KS5.
Support students in developing strong reading, writing, speaking, and analytical skills.
Create an inclusive learning environment that challenges and supports all abilities.
Assess, monitor, and provide feedback on student progress in line with school policies.
Contribute to enrichment opportunities such as debating, drama, or creative writing clubs.
Work collaboratively within the English department to share good practice and resources.
Ideal English Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
A degree in English, English Literature, or a related subject.
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching English.
Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills as an English Teacher.
Ability to inspire, motivate, and engage students of all abilities.
