Working hours: 25 hours per week, Monday - Friday 8am - 1pmInterview Date: To be confirmedThe Salvation Army has a 65 bed Life house in Sunderland to support 65 vulnerable people who are experiencing homelessness. The contract works within a psychologically informed framework.Key Responsibilities:To be part of the centre staff team, specifically to perform all cleaning- housekeeping duties such as the following:Assisting residents with laundry and to keep the rooms clean and tidy to an acceptable living standardBed ChangingDustingCleaning WindowsBathroomsToilets and bathroomsThe successful candidate(s) will also need to demonstrate: Knowledge of relevant health and safety practice in regards to cleaning materials and equipmentSome previous experience of commercial cleaning Basic standard of literacy and numeracy with the ability to communicate in English to the level required to fulfil your dutiesGood verbal and written communication skillsKeeping all appropriate paperwork evidencing tasks completed to support the services provided at the LifehouseThe ability and willingness to work within, be empathic with and promote the Christian ethos and values of The Salvation Army MissionIn order to complete your application please download and read the job profile and any other attachments.In the job profile you will find the criteria required for the role please make sure that you address this in your supporting statement as this forms the basis of our shortlisting.Appointment subject to satisfactory references, proof of right to work in the UK and a satisfactory basic DBS Check.
