Ambitek is recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established, family-run organisation founded in 1998. The company has grown into a leading multidisciplined supplier of high-specification mechanical, pipework and steelwork services, offering full site installation solutions to UK industry.



Operating across Engineering, Fabrications and Energy sectors, the business runs from two UK sites: their Head Office in Knowsley, Merseyside, and a 30,000 sq ft fabrication facility in Middlesbrough. Due to ongoing expansion, they are now seeking an experienced Office Administrator to support the smooth running of their North West site.



Key Responsibilities





Act as first point of contact for visitors and telephone enquiries.




Collate information for supplier appraisal questionnaires.




Assist in preparing quotations using Microsoft 365.




Maintain quotation and job registers.




Produce order acknowledgement letters.




Manage supplier credit account forms and liaise with suppliers via email/telephone.




Provide HR administration support, including recruitment, staff files and training records.




Source and arrange training courses.




Oversee stock management for PPE and stationery, including placing supplier orders.




Support administration relating to ISO standards and the maintenance register.




Monitor company vehicle logs to ensure service/maintenance is up to date.




Provide ad hoc support to the Contracts, Finance and Accounts Managers.




Deliver secretarial support for Directors, including travel and accommodation bookings.




Manage filing, storage, and document security.




Take responsibility for additional tasks commensurate with the role.





Skills & Attributes





Proficiency in Microsoft 365, with strong Excel skills.




Excellent time management and prioritisation abilities.




Strong attention to detail and analytical approach.

Confident communicator with excellent written and verbal skills.




Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.





Qualifications & Experience





Minimum 3 years’ experience in an Office Administrator or similar role.





What’s on Offer





Pay: £13.00 per hour




Hours: 37.5 per week




Working Pattern: Monday – Friday, 08:30 – 16:30 (30-minute break)
