Summary
• Set and operate press brake machinery, preferably CNC machine tools.
• Maintain high quality standards in all aspects of production.
• Work to challenging lead times in a pressurised environment.
• Ensure customer expectations are met consistently.
• Commit to in-house training if lacking CNC experience.
• Operate a Fork Lift Truck (FLT) if licensed, or undertake training to obtain a licence.
• Demonstrate good timekeeping and consistent attendance.
Skills Required:
• Experience with press brake setting and operating (CNC preferred).
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Willingness to learn and adapt through training.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• FLT licence (advantageous) or willingness to train.
• Reliability and punctuality.
Working hours are to be undertaken over a two-shift pattern, typically 0600 – 1400 Monday to Friday for the Morning shift and 1000 – 2000 Monday to Thursday for the Evening shift. During exceptionally busy periods, night shift working can be required. This is arranged by mutual consent occasioning premium payments.
This is a permanent position, 37.5 hours per week. Wages offered will be in the range £12.00 to £14.00 per hour, dependant on experience. Additionally, 28 days annual holiday (rising to 33 days) an invitation to join the Contributory Pension Scheme, an extensive programme of training, support, respect and inclusion plus various additional on-the-job benefits.
