We are currently undergoing recruitment for an Operations Manager to join our recruitment company in Meifod. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, people-focused environment and is looking to develop a long-term career in recruitment and account management.
• Monday – Friday
• 08:00 – 16:00
Main roles and responsibilities:
• Lead, inspire, and manage a team of recruitment consultants, resourcers, and administrative staff.
• Set clear performance targets, monitor KPIs, and provide regular feedback.
• Conduct coaching, training, and performance reviews to support team development.
• Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performance culture.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities to grow branch revenue.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted recruitment partner.
• Conduct client visits, presentations, and networking to strengthen partnerships.
• Negotiate contracts, service level agreements, and pricing structures.
• Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process to ensure high-quality placements.
• Ensure consultants provide excellent candidate care, from initial screening to post-placement follow-up.
• Maintain a strong pipeline of candidates through effective sourcing strategies.
• Monitor compliance with industry regulations and company standards in candidate management.
• Drive the branch to achieve and exceed revenue, profit, and performance targets.
• Monitor financial performance, including budgets, forecasts, and cost control.
• Ensure full compliance with employment law, recruitment regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and management information systems.
• Contribute to the development of branch and regional business strategy.
• Analyse market trends to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
• Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
• Promote the company brand and uphold a professional reputation in the market.
Skills and requirements:
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Previous experience managing client accounts
• Strong business development and client relationship management ability.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Commercially driven with a focus on achieving financial targets.
• Knowledge of recruitment best practices, employment law, and compliance requirements.
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Previous experience as a Branch Manager, Recruitment Manager, or Senior Recruitment Consultant with team leadership responsibilities.
• Demonstrated success in achieving sales and operational targets.
• Strong understanding of the recruitment industry (temporary, permanent, or specialist sectors).
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Including Excel.
• Office-based with occasional travel to client sites and networking events.
• Full-time role with flexibility to work extended hours when required.
