Job Description
• This is a hands-on role which requires preparation and assembly of both stainless steel water conditioning devices AND solid chemical dissolving systems from a defined bill of materials following assembly instructions.
• Pressure testing of finished devices to ensure correct specification.
• Assembly of sub components supplied in kit form, following assembly instructions.
• Perform quality checks of finished devices to ensure performance to defined specifications before sending to end user.
• Packing finished goods and completing packing check lists.
• Maintain a high level of housekeeping and manage waste effectively including correct disposal; using packing materials efficiently to reduce waste and costs.
• Cleaning and maintaining the warehouse as part of the daily routine.
• Co-ordination of goods in and goods out of warehouse.
• Use of warehouse systems and processes relating to packaging, moving and receiving stock within the warehouse, facilitate the safe handling of goods and chemicals.
Use of IT applications such as Microsoft Office to process work orders and other relevant technology and systems to ensure the safe and efficient processing of goods.
• Effective and professional communication with colleagues at all times.
• Constant adherence to Health & Safety regulations.
• Providing updates/reporting any issues or concerns to the Operations Director.
• Perform additional duties as directed as and when required which may include general order preparation and machinery maintenance.
Skills Required: The ideal candidate must have:
• 2-3 years’ experience ideally in production assembly work in the mechanical or manufacturing sector.
• Experience in the use of hand and power tools.
• Ability to understand technical drawings.
• Experience in pipework assembly and pressure testing.
• The role will require an individual who can work unsupervised for long periods. They must be highly organised and can prioritise workload and organise the warehouse on a daily/weekly basis.
• Working Days: Monday to Friday
• Shift Pattern: Days
• Salary will be reviewed following completion of probationary period
• Full Time Monday to Friday 8.30am-5.00pm (No weekends required!)
