Crynodeb
To support the clinicians with initial assessments and school observations in a variety of settings. This will involve note taking and talking to members of staff relevant to the child/young person. It includes communicating through email, face to face and on the telephone. To create visual images and social stories and to make any information more accessible for children and young people with learning disabilities. This will involve using computer softwarepackages designed to create imagery. To create bespoke packages and information booklets and to work face to face with children and young people. Supporting, teaching and monitoring them as they use the packages. To work in peoples homes or schools/colleges on an individual or small group basis. This might be to teach a particular skill or to facilitate a group session. To use electronic systems which record care notes, care plans, risk assessments and any other information pertinent to the child. As well as electronic staff records to monitor own staff related issues. To work as part of the team, attending and participating in team meetings, training events and workshops.
