This highly regarded Secondary School in Croydon, known for its excellent results and supportive environment, is looking for a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025.

In this exciting role, you will use your strong academic background to make a difference every day whilst gaining invaluable classroom experience in a vibrant, forward-thinking school. No two days will be the same, and you’ll be part of a team that inspires success and nurtures ambition.

This full-time position is ideal for aspiring teachers looking to train in 2026 or beyond. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils across KS3 and KS4, working closely with experienced teachers to build your skills and confidence in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support teachers in delivering high-quality lessons in your subject specialism


  • Provide one-to-one and small group academic support


  • Build strong relationships with pupils to keep them engaged and motivated


  • Coach and mentor students, supporting behaviour management and classroom organisation


  • Contribute to extra-curricular activities and wider school life


    Who We’re Looking For

    To succeed as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you should have:

    • An undergraduate degree (2:1 or higher) in any subject area


    • A genuine interest in working with young people


    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills


    • A proactive and supportive attitude


    • An ambition to train as a teacher in the future


    • Experience working with young people (desirable but not essential)
