This is an exciting opportunity to join the newly formed Research, Enterprise & Innovation (RE&I) Services, part of the University’s Research, Enterprise & Business Development Directorate. We are a dynamic team committed to supporting research excellence, knowledge mobilisation, and innovation across the University.

Within RE&I Services, you’ll join the Development Services Team and will have responsibility for managing the daily operations of Unitemps, our in-house recruitment agency. Your responsibilities will include internal stakeholder and candidate management, effective marketing of the Unitemps service, driving Unitemps projects and initiatives, monthly finance reporting, legislative compliance, and undertaking prospecting activities with businesses, generating revenue from these relationships.

This is an important role within the Unitemps branch with key responsibility for the internal recruitment market.

Key responsibilities

Responsible for managing assignment requests from clients to include discussion of recruitment needs with the clients, advising where necessary on rates, university policy, and issuing terms of business.

Monitoring online applications and taking decisions where necessary to ensure appropriate candidates are sourced; short-listing and arranging/conducting interviews where appropriate.

Working in accordance with strict compliance legislation, ensuring personal data is processed correctly, with the necessary information accurately recorded in the company database.

Implementing Unitemps strategy and policies. Improving branch processes and efficiencies.

Line management responsibility for the Unitemps Administrator and any temporary staff which support the branch.

You’ll have the opportunity to manage standalone projects or work as part of collaborative teams, depending on the nature and scale of the work.

How will you work?

18.5 hours per week

This role is typically wholly campus based due to their specialist nature or the need to provide in person services.
