The Role
As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure the smooth running of the home, providing high-quality care and strong leadership to our dedicated staff team. You will play a key role in promoting positive outcomes for children and ensuring the home meets all regulatory, safeguarding, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home.
• Lead, motivate, and supervise a team of residential support workers.
• Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Promote a positive and therapeutic environment for young people.
• Support the development and implementation of individual care plans.
• Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health, and safety.
• Participate in on-call duties as required.
About You
• Experience in managing a residential childcare setting (EBD experience essential).
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Good knowledge of safeguarding procedures and children’s legislation.
• Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with young people and staff.
• NVQ Level 4 or in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – Level 5 preferred or willingness to work towards it.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
