Summary

Are you passionate about empowering students and shaping their university experience? Do you thrive in a dynamic, student-focused environment? If so, we have the perfect role for you!

Lancaster University Management School is seeking to recruit two Teaching Co-ordinators, which are pivotal roles in the support of our education services in the faculty. You will be based primarily in a department within the Lancaster University Management School supporting the MSc programmes. You’ll collaborate with academic departments, student and education services, and external partners to create an outstanding learning experience. The team is part of a wider Education Services Team, led by the Faculty’s Education Services Manager.

We currently have two maternity cover roles available within the faculty, these would be available until the end of July 2026 in the first instance. We are very happy to consider applications from those who seek a part-time working pattern, to a minimum of 60% FTE (full-time equivalent), i.e. 22-25 hours per week across three days minimum.

What We’re Looking For:

  • You will be a self-motivated team player, with a commitment to professional development, for yourself and your team.
  • You will ideally have experience of delivering high quality administrative services in a Higher Education though any relevant administrative background would be considered.
  • You will be able to co-ordinate effectively on quality assurance, process improvement, timetabling and assessment processes.
  • You will be able to demonstrate competent IT skills and the ability to work with new systems and software in an evolving digital environment.

Why join our team?

  • Generous holiday leave - 25 days (pro-rata) annual leave plus University closure days and bank holidays.
  • Access to employee pension scheme, and annual flexible benefits scheme.
  • The Faculty and department offer a highly collegial and stimulating environment for career development based on our values and embedded Equality, Diversity and Inclusivity (EDI) considerations and actions. We are committed to family-friendly and flexible working policies on an individual basis as well as the Athena SWAN Charter, which recognises and celebrates good employment practices undertaken to address gender equality in higher education and research.

If you’re excited about creating an exceptional student experience and want to be part of a forward-thinking team, we’d love to hear from you!

We are especially proud of our friendly environment, fostered by the PS Team. We also offer flexible working arrangements, which combine supportive time in the office along with time to do focused work from home.

Further information departments, its programmes and the wider Management School can be found here.

The start date is as soon as possible.

Informal enquiries are encouraged and can be made to Lindsay Haworth (l.haworth@lancaster.ac.uk) Joanna Stephens (Faculty Education Services Manager) at j.stephens@lancaster.ac.uk, or Jackie Hughes (Departmental Administrator) at j.hughes5@lancaster.ac.uk
