What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking an organised, proactive, and approachable Administrator to play a vital role in the smooth running of our Sixth Form Centre.

Working closely with the Director of Sixth Form, Heads of Year, and a dedicated team of tutors, you will provide exceptional administrative support to ensure our students have the best possible experience during their post-16 education.

About the Role

As Sixth Form Administrator, you will be at the heart of our Sixth Form operations — from managing student records and overseeing attendance, to supporting key events such as Open Evenings, Results Days, and Enrichment Activities.

You will be responsible for ensuring accurate data management through SIMS, supporting the UCAS process, liaising with parents and carers, and assisting with student admissions and enrolment.

Your work will directly contribute to the success of our Sixth Form, helping to create a welcoming and efficient environment where both students and staff can thrive.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality administrative support to the Sixth Form leadership team.
• Oversee the application, enrolment, and induction process for new Sixth Form students.
• Maintain accurate student and attendance records, and follow attendance intervention procedures.
• Produce and manage reports using SIMS and other relevant systems.
• Support the organisation of events such as Open Evenings, Taster Days, Results Days, and trips.
• Liaise with parents/carers regarding attendance, welfare, and general enquiries.
• Assist with UCAS applications and Sixth Form bursary administration.
• Ensure accuracy of data for the school’s Census returns.
• Uphold positive relationships with staff, students, and visitors.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

• Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail.
• Confident using ICT packages (Word, Excel, databases, spreadsheets, internet).
• A clear communicator with a professional and approachable manner.
• Able to prioritise tasks and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team.
• Flexible, with a willingness to attend occasional events outside of normal hours (with time in lieu in line with contractual arrangements).

What the school offers its staff

We can offer you:

• The opportunity to work in a continuously improving school.
• The chance to join a talented and highly committed staff team.
• Excellent students who are keen to excel and operate in an ethos underpinned by the principles of courtesy, consideration, cooperation & contribution.
• Our commitment to provide CPD opportunities to ensure all staff continue to develop.
• Flexible working opportunities or job share
• A learning environment where imagination and commitment are encouraged and valued.
