Role Overview:
We are looking for a proactive and versatile General Assistant to join our team at our beautiful wedding venue. This varied role is vital in ensuring a seamless and memorable experience for all our guests. You will be involved in numerous tasks, from cleaning and preparing event spaces and on-site accommodation to supporting event setup and providing warm, professional customer service throughout the guest journey. This hands-on role requires flexibility, attention to detail, and a can-do attitude, with opportunities to advance into more specialised maintenance and operational roles.
List of Responsibilities:
Carry out thorough pre-event, during-event, and post-event cleaning to ensure the venue is always presented at its best.
Support with setting up and breaking down event spaces, including moving furniture and checking equipment.
Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of guest accommodation, ensuring all rooms and shared spaces are spotless and welcoming.
Deliver exceptional customer service by assisting guests with queries, offering a warm and professional presence, and ensuring their comfort throughout their stay or event.
Assist guest relations staff with client viewings and discussions regarding their wedding day and event plans, ensuring their visions are understood and implemented.
Assist with light maintenance tasks such as painting, building furniture, mending broken furniture, and performing routine repairs. Individuals with qualifications or experience in maintenance can take on more complex tasks.
Liaise closely with the wider team to ensure seamless operations and quickly respond to any issues that arise during events or guest stays.
Assist in finalising corporate events, ensuring all details align with client expectations and are executed smoothly.
Work with the General Manager and Operations Manager to ensure targets are met regarding accommodation cleanliness and all other responsibilities.
Uphold health and safety standards and assist with routine maintenance and compliance checks as required, with opportunities for further training and skill development in maintenance tasks.
Basic understanding and experience with Word and Excel would be beneficial. Ideally, we would like a GA who can assist closely with filing paperwork and creating spreadsheets
