Initiate and lead in the development and implementation of clinical audit and subsequent improvements to measure and enhance individual and team performance. Demonstrate the ability to function competently as a manager, leader, and member of the multi-disciplinary team, understanding and acknowledging the role and function of other members of the team. Liaising with the relevant Professional and Organisational links. Develop, maintain, and participate in the delivery of a structured training programme. Be wholly accountable for his/her own practice and take every reasonable opportunity to sustain and improve the knowledge, skills and values required for safe, effective service delivery. Evaluate and improve practice by leading in research where appropriate, including the implementation of findings. Adhere to and implement local and national health and safety policy and procedures. Participates in the risk management process Job Purpose To provide comprehensive advice and support within the NSTC for all surgical training Pathway The post holder will ensure a smooth running of all surgical training pathway for regional and national Surgical trainees. To lead the development and implementation of a programme which is safe and effective to ensure and maintain quality strategy. An understanding of the NHS research and development (R&D) funding systems/costing models and the overarching NHS R&D strategy and governance framework
