Passionate about delivering exceptional employee relations services that truly make a difference? This could be the role for you!

We’re looking for a confident, knowledgeable Employee Relations Specialist to join our People & Culture Team – a team dedicated to providing consistent, expert advice that helps managers lead well, supports our employees to thrive, and enables us to deliver the best possible service to our residents.

In this role, you’ll be the go-to expert for all ER matters, leading the delivery of high-quality, legally compliant and people-centred advisory services across Housing 21. You’ll work closely with managers, offering guidance, coaching and training to help them handle complex cases with confidence and fairness, safeguarding the wellbeing of our employees and the organisation’s reputation.

You’ll also lead and develop our ER advisory team; fostering a high-performing, customer-focused culture where service excellence is fundamental. Using insight from case trends, feedback and data, you’ll identify opportunities for improvement, influence policy updates, and champion initiatives that strengthen employee experience.
You’ll build strong relationships and work in collaboration with internal stakeholders and the wider people team, to deliver our people strategy and achieve our vision.

What we are looking for:

• The essential requirements for the role include:
• Extensive experience managing complex ER casework, from disciplinary and grievance to absence and capability issues
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and confident application to practical situations
• Experience in a shared services or decentralised HR environment
• Previous experience leading or supervising a team
• Proven track record in supporting change programmes such as TUPE transfers or restructures
• Experience reviewing and improving HR policies and guidance materials
• CIPD Level 7 in People Management (or working towards)
