We are looking for a Saturday Sales Assistant to join our team at Ellis Scott Schoolwear The One-Stop School Shop www.ellisscott.co.uk
What's the purpose of this role?
Ellis Scott Schoolwear is the leading school wear supplier in the area, being part of the team you will be responsible for ensuring our customers receive the best possible service each time they visit the store or on our website.
Salary/Hours
Basic salary is dependent on experience.
Saturdays only and increasing during our summer back to school period. Hours - 9.30am - 5pm
Who are we?
Ellis Scott Schoolwear is a major part of the local community providing high quality uniforms to over 20 schools in the area both from our store in Reigate and via our secure website.
What are the responsibilities of this role?
* You will work closely with Management to provide the best possible service for our schools and customers
* Developing promotions via the website and social media
* Assisting in the maintenance of the website to ensure all information is up-to-date
* Processing online orders, and dealing with returns
* Controlling stock levels, and ensuring the smooth running of the day to day operations
* Sourcing new products for the best quality and value
* Assisting with our uniform design service
* Providing expert customer service within the shop and online together with knowledgeable advice re uniform requirements and sizing
* Liaising with customers and schools to develop a professional and efficient service to include school visits
* Dealing with customer enquiries in-store, online and by phone
* Assisting in the maintenance of standards on the shop floor and for all displays and merchandise
* Replenishing stock levels when needed, making sure the full-size range is on the shop floor where possible.
Who are we looking for?
* Retail experience would be beneficial but not compulsory.
* Good verbal and written communications skills
* Excellent attention to detail
* Good IT skills
* Enthusiastic team player but can work well on their own.
Ideal Candidates:
We're seeking college students or individuals on a gap year who:
*Enjoy interacting with people and providing excellent service.
*Are proactive, reliable, and eager to learn.
*Are available to start in September and can commit during the summer.
