Our client is currently seeking a Design Manager to join their team in Surrey. This well-respected main contractor has been operating throughout London and the Home Counties for over 90 years. They undertake a range of projects in variety of key sectors including Private Housing, Education, Healthcare, Conservation, leisure, community, Affordable Housing and Commercial, with a turnover of approximately £50million.
About the role as a Design Manager
As a Design Manager you will reporting to the Construction Director, review all employer requirements/performance specifications for accuracy and omissions and clarify in writing, assist the commercial team in producing contractors' bills of quantities to the subcontractor and produce and monitor design programme to ensure timely and commercial production of information.
Requirements for a Design Manager
- HNC, HND or equivalent qualification in construction or design related subject.
- Ability to view, review and understand systems used by designers.
- Main contractors experience in a similar role.
