Various Hours are available ranging from 16 - 39 hours per week
About the Service
We have vacancies in our Milnab Street Residential and Outreach service for individuals with learning disabilities and/or Autism. Further more we are recruiting in eager anticipation of our move to our brand new facility in Crieff opening this year, which will present exciting opportunities. Our service is part of the Autism Accreditation through the National Autistic Society and continually renews this award every 3 years.
About the Role
Your role will take a person centred approach to maximise service user involvement and help individuals achieve their goals in life. This includes providing support with Personal Care, medication, meals and household chores as well as community based activities. Further learning and development opportunities will be provided as will specialised training in response to the needs of service, for example, Introduction to Autism.
About You
You Will:
Have a positive empathetic approach and be highly motivated and enthusiastic in your role as Support Worker.
An ability to lone work and work as part of a team with excellent communication skills and basic IT skills is essential.
Be Flexible to a shift pattern that requires early morning, evening and weekend shifts. (Our Service operates one sleepover shift per night)
Be part of an excellent staff team, which is friendly, supportive and professional.
Work effectively together to provide the highest level of quality care.
Benefit from an approachable and supportive management team that will ensure you have the skills and knowledge to perform your role effectively.
Be required to obtain registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 3 months of taking up the post
Achievement of SVQ2 in Health & Social Care is desirable, but a willingness to undertake study to achieve this is required.
