Crynodeb

This is an opportunity for an early career researcher to become involved in research with the health and care workforce. Workforce research is a key priority, locally, regionally and nationally. In Bristol, we have a rapidly developing portfolio of research involving staff in the NHS and social care. This includes projects focusing on recruitment, retention and well-being as well as those investigating skill mix, service organisation and the delivery of care. This research involves a wide range of methodologies including realist evaluations, systematic reviews, scheduling and data forecasting, surveys and mixed methods research.

About you

You’ll support the delivery of workforce research, working as part of a team based at UWE Bristol. This will involve providing research support for ongoing projects as well as assisting with grant applications. Duties will include: protocol development; obtaining ethical approvals; data collection and analysis; and report writing and dissemination.

We are looking for a self-motivated individual with prior experience in a variety of health services research methods and approaches, with particular emphasis on NHS project experience. This is a key role within the team, and you will liaise with other researchers, inside and outside of the University, to support the conception, delivery and dissemination of high quality research with impact.

You can work on your own initiative, seeking guidance and advice where necessary. You’re well organised, possess strong communication skills and have the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Why UWE Bristol?

This post is based at our Glenside Campus which is set within beautiful grounds in Stapleton, just three miles north east of Bristol City Centre.
