Summary & Purpose of the Role:

We are looking for a professional, proactive, and customer-focused Security Officer to join our dedicated team at a prestigious retail outlet. In this high-profile role, you will play a key part in maintaining the safety and security of the Centre, its staff, visitors, and brand partners. Working alongside a collaborative team of security professionals, you will deliver excellence in service, protection, and compliance, always upholding the highest standards.



Full Time / Permanent - Average 38 Hours Per Week

Pay rate: £13.95 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

As a Security Officer, you will take on a varied and rewarding role, contributing to the smooth and secure running of the Centre.

Your core responsibilities will include:

-Safeguarding the premises, assets, and people through regular patrols and continuous monitoring, following the site's Assignment Instructions (AI) and Health & Safety protocols.

-Acting as an ambassador for the outlet, providing a welcoming, professional presence while assisting visitors, staff, and brand partners to ensure a safe and positive experience.

-Leading and supporting responses to incidents, emergencies, and evacuations, ensuring swift and compliant execution of all procedures.

-Working closely with fellow security team members to ensure an effective and united approach, especially during high-pressure situations.

-Identifying and reporting suspicious activity or potential threats, taking proactive measures to prevent theft, damage, or breaches.

-Ensuring the safety of the Centre during evening operations, including management of the night-time economy.

-Overseeing vehicle movements within the Centre to maintain safety and prevent congestion.

-Remaining vigilant for signs of fire, flooding, or other hazards, and taking swift action to address them.

Skills & Experience Required:

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on clarity, empathy, and professionalism.

-Strong background in customer service, with the ability to remain calm and confident in all situations.

-Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

-A valid SIA Licence (Door Supervisor or Security Guarding) is essential.

-Composure under pressure and the ability to handle challenging situations with discretion and authority.

-Keen attention to detail, a proactive mindset, and excellent time management skills.

-A 5-year checkable work history.
