Contract: Part Time Salary: £12.21 Per Hour Shift Type: Days Contracted hours: 24Darcy House is a brand-new, luxury care home located in the beautiful town of Matlock, Derbyshire. We provide personalised Residential, Nursing, Dementia, Palliative, and Respite Care for up to 78 residents.
We are now looking for a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Assistant to join our team. This is a key role where you will help ensure our building, grounds, and equipment remain in excellent condition, creating a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our residents and staff.
What We Offer

- Contracted to 24 hours per week - Over 4 days! 10AM-4PM

- 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full-time contract)
What You Will Do
As a Maintenance Assistant, you will carry out a range of repair, upkeep, and safety tasks across our home. You will tackle day-to-day repairs, carry out routine checks on electrical systems and safety equipment, keep our grounds looking their best, and assist with installations and upgrades. You will also help maintain a high standard of cleanliness, comfort, and presentation throughout the home, working closely with the management team to address any larger maintenance needs.
What We Are Looking For
Previous experience in a maintenance role is desirable, ideally in a care home or similar environment, but we are open to those with transferable skills from other industries. You will have good practical abilities, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
