Crynodeb
To safely position patients and equipment within the peri operative environment, under the direction of the theatre staff using appropriate manual handling techniques. To transport patients by means of bed, trolley or wheelchair, ensuring that this is carried out in a safe and courteous manner using the correct manual handling techniques. To push out, clean and push back theatre equipment at the end of each listed theatre session. Blood and blood products to be collected / returned as required, under the direction of the medical / nursing staff. Deliver specimens to the appropriate laboratory at regular intervals. Mops / buckets to be cleaned and changed daily. To stock and clean patient trolleys and beds daily within the peri operative environment. Collect and dispose of healthcare waste and specialist hazardous waste in line with trust policy and procedure Collect and dispose of in line with trust policy and procedures. Soiled linen and slide sheets to be sent for laundering each morning and fresh collected daily. To support patient transfers between the day case, ward and theatre areas including supporting with transfer to X-ray.
