Job Title: General Operative
Hours of Work: Monday – Friday, 06:00 – 14:00 & 14:00 – 22:00 (2-week rotating shift)
Salary: £13.13 per hour
About the Role
We are looking for a hardworking and reliable General Operative to join our fast-paced Manufacturing team at our Upwood site.
In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for manufacturing and repairing pallets and wood products using a variety of tools
and equipment. You’ll play a key part in delivering high-quality work that meets customer specifications, while working
efficiently to meet production targets.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work, values teamwork, and thrives in a busy environment

Key Responsibilities
* Manufacture and repair pallets/wood products to meet production and quality standards
* Set up workbenches or machines efficiently, ensuring materials and information are in place
* Follow work orders and design specifications accurately
* Identify and report equipment issues promptly to supervisors
* Carry out additional duties including painting, stenciling, and labelling of pallets
* Load and offload timber from machinery
* Maintain high levels of cleanliness and organisation in work areas
* Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE at all times
* Support colleagues and supervisors by contributing to team goals
