Summary:
- Drive vehicle in a safe manner and adhere to all relevant legislation / rules in
relation to the loads being transported.
Services Required
- Doing deliveries / collections around the Central Belt area.
- Load and unload in line with the code of practice and use appropriate equipment.
- Maintain security of load while loading, transporting and delivering.
- Comply with various legislations regarding vehicle safety, tachographs operation
and Working Time Directive.
- Interacting with customers in a positive and professional manner.
- Ability to pick and self-load freight from a secure site.
- Perform Collection and Deliveries each day as allocated by operations
Experience & Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of professional van delivery experience.
- You must have 5 full years checkable work and residential history and able to
supply personal references to pass security clearance.
- Good geographical knowledge of roads around the Glasgow area.
- Geographical knowledge of major UK roads would be desirable.
- Good working knowledge of manual loading / unloading and securing freight.
- Experience with Urgent Sameday / AOG courier services.
- Sole Trader or Ltd Company Status.
- Own and maintain LWB Van.
- Fully insured.
Rate of Pay
- Rates are paid on a commission basis per delivery /collection.
Working Days & Times
- Monday to Friday.
- 08h00am – 18h00pm.
