The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join a well-regarded school in, Leeds. This pivotal role involves supervising students in the classroom during the short-term absence of their teacher, ensuring they remain focused, engaged, and on-task. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering pre-prepared lesson plans, managing classroom behaviour effectively, and fostering a positive and productive learning atmosphere.

Requirements:
- Experience working with young people in an educational or similar setting.
- A good standard of education, with GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths.
- An enhanced DBS check or a willingness to undergo one.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.

Responsibilities:
- Supervising students in the classroom, ensuring a safe and orderly environment.
- Delivering pre-prepared work to students and ensuring they complete tasks.
- Managing classroom behaviour in line with the school's policy.
- Responding to student questions and providing support as needed.
- Taking the register and reporting on attendance.
- Providing feedback to the absent teacher about the lesson's progress.
- Administering first aid if required (training provided).
- Supervising students during break and lunch duties as part of the school's staff.
- Following all school policies and procedures.
- Promoting a positive learning culture and encouraging student engagement.
