The Role:We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable General Cover Teacher to join our team in Leeds. This role is ideal for a teacher who enjoys variety and is confident in their ability to teach across a wide range of subjects and year groups, from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5. You will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons, managing classroom behaviour effectively, and ensuring that students remain engaged and on task in the absence of their regular teacher.

Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- A positive and professional attitude
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
- Classroom management expertise
- Strong communication skills
- Adaptability and flexibility
- Subject knowledge across multiple disciplines
- Excellent time management
- Problem-solving abilities
- Delivering pre-planned lessons to a variety of classes
- Maintaining a safe and orderly classroom environment
- Supervising students and ensuring they are on task
- Following the school's policies and procedures
- Providing support and guidance to students
- Reporting any concerns or issues to the appropriate staff member
- Leaving a summary of the lesson's progress for the regular teacher
- Managing student behaviour in line with school policies
- Ensuring all students are accounted for at the start of the lesson
- Adhering to the school's safeguarding protocols at all times
