About the practice:
An independent, compassionate and dedicated practice serving Southport, offering a wide range of veterinary diagnostics, surgery, and care for cats, dogs, small mammals, and birds under one roof. They also run pet health plans to support ongoing preventive care for clients. They are an approved Veterinary Nurse Training Practice, providing clinical training and hands-on experience for student nurses. The practice is well-regarded for its focus on animal welfare, transparent communication, and fair pricing.

Schedule:
8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday
Option to do 1 in 4/5 Saturdays
Education & Experience:
Veterinary: minimum 3 years (required)
RCVS registration required
Key Responsibilities:
Administer drugs, anaesthetics, injections
Prepare animals for surgery and assist during operations (holding, monitoring)
Maintain, sterilise, and lay out surgical equipment, plus post-op cleanup
Conduct diagnostic tests, prepare and dispatch lab samples
Perform x-rays
Care for in-patients: exercise, grooming, and monitoring
Offer advice to owners on care and breeding
Maintain records, write and file reports
