As a Car Park Attendant you will be required to ensure excellent customer service and a professional attitude at all times. Coming into contact regularly with patients you will be of smart appearance with a friendly, sympathetic/reassuring manner and excellent communication skills. You will undertake a wide array of tasks pertaining to the role. Due to the nature of the role discretion and confidentiality are vital.
The Role
As a Car Park Attendant you will:

Assist in managing car parking for Nuffield health Exeter Hospital in co-operation with Nuffield Health Facilities Manager, Patients, Staff and any contractors and consultants.

Complete all daily/weekly checklists.

Manage and complete all reactive queries within a realistic and reasonable timeframe ensuring customer experience is not impacted and proactively updating the Facilities Manager and members of the management team as appropriate on any possible impact to patient experience.

Liaise with key relationships (as below) during busy periods within the car park.

Enforce parking restrictions in line with guidance from the Senior Management Team for staff, patient, disabled, drop off and consultant areas. Report any incidents to both the Facilities Manager and Health & Safety contact onsite.

Ensure all the work you carry out is done so that no harm can come to you or others.

Liaise with onsite maintenance to carry out all car park maintenance and complete regular checks whilst on shift to the Nuffield Health required standards.

Nuffield Health Exeter Hospital
The Exeter Nuffield hospital is based next to the RD&E hospital in Wonford, Exeter. The hospital has 2 theatres, as well as a hybrid cardiac catheter laboratory/theatre and an Endoscopy suite. There are two ward areas: an inpatient area with 21 beds and a day-case ward with 12 beds. We also have a busy outpatient department, pharmacy, physiotherapy, and radiology department including an MRI scanner. We specialise in elective orthopaedic and spinal surgery, cardiology including invasive procedures, general surgery, plastics and cosmetic surgery, ENT, and gynaecology. The Hospital has a MAKO robot that undertakes some of the joint replacement surgery which we have become well known for in this field of surgery.
