POST: ADMISSIONS OFFICER
RESPONSIBLE TO: The Head
STATUS: Part Time 20-25 hrs per week
SALARY: Competitive salary, dependant on experience.
Principal Responsibilities:
The principal responsibility of this position will be the smooth operation of administrative tasks for the Admissions department and to support the generation of leads for domestic pupil recruitment through positive communication utilising:
• social media platforms
• networking
• advertising
• promotions
• developing relationships with existing parents
Lead Generation
• Working with the Head of Admissions and Headmistress to develop lead generation ideas and opportunities through marketing, advertising, promotional, and telecommunication initiatives.
• Follow up on marketing campaigns and speak to customers to generate leads
• Working within the team to help to develop a business plan to cost out lead generation initiatives
• Be proactive in finding new sources of leads
• Actively promote the school at every opportunity
Communications
• Communicate with parents and public utilising platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn etc
• Write up stories relating to daily school activities and post these on social media platforms
• Liaise with school staff to identify opportunities for social media releases
• Operate school’s mobile phone App and help develop this communication method
• Be proactive in the development of this exciting new role within the school
• Devise and coordinate photo opportunities, taking photographs where necessary to post on social media
• Understanding of Data protection regulations
Admissions
• General administrative support to the Head of Admissions it dealing with leads
• Sending out prospectus packs
• Filing in enquiry forms and creating file
• Meeting and greeting parents when they arrive
General Responsibilities:
• Update pupil filing system
• Recording and Archiving documents: general and pupil records
• Proactive identification and improvement of existing administrative processes
• Any duties relating to the good running of the school that are a reasonable request in relation to your position
Health and Safety:
• Maintain a safe and positive working environment.
• As outlined in the Health & Safety at Work Act a member of staff is required to take reasonable care for his/her own health and safety and abide by the School’s Health & Safety policy.
This role will be best suited to a resilient, sales focused person, who has a genuine passion for generating new leads and business opportunities. The successful applicant will be highly competent on the use of IT, of good energy and personality, who is able to strike up conversations and quickly find common ground with prospective customers. Will maintain a positive and pro-active manner in carrying out all tasks, acting as a champion for the school, contributing to great team spirit that exists within the school. You should demonstrate resilience and tenacity, continually aiming for improvement and the achievement of results.
