Please note that we require a toolmaker/machinist with manual experience. Due to the nature of our business, we do not use CNC, and therefore candidates with an exclusive CNC background will not be considered.
Candidates should be apprentice-served, or qualified in a mechanical engineering discipline, with at least 5 years’ experience in a precision engineering environment.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate flexibility, accuracy, the ability to resolve problems and be able to work with minimum supervision. You must be able to interpret detailed engineering drawings, and manufacture parts in line with stated tolerances and dimensions. You will be working to tight tolerances, therefore attention to detail is essential. Knowledge/experience of working with a range of materials, particularly carbon, is desirable.
Candidates with experience in areas such as milling, turning or grinding - or with knowledge of specialist components manufacture - will be of particular interest.
