About the School
This primary school has a strong reputation for creating an environment where every child feels valued, supported, and challenged to reach their potential. With a focus on both academic progress and emotional wellbeing, they pride themselves on being inclusive, nurturing, and forward-thinking in their approach to education.
About the Role
As a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant, you’ll provide support both in and out of the classroom, adapting your approach to meet the needs of individual pupils. You may work 1-to-1 with children who have additional needs or provide small group interventions to help boost confidence and academic achievement.
You’ll gain first-hand experience of working with children with SEN, behavioural challenges, and emotional needs – developing your understanding of how child psychology translates into practical classroom strategies.
Who We’re Looking For
The school is keen to meet graduates with a genuine passion for supporting children’s development and an interest in SEN, child mental health, or behaviour support. You’ll bring empathy, patience, and a proactive attitude, along with the ability to work closely with teachers and other professionals.
This role is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to gain meaningful, hands-on experience before progressing onto postgraduate study, teacher training, or a career in psychology.
