As a Course Design Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of engineering training. Reporting to the Head of Course Design, you will lead the design, review, and maintenance of training courses and projects related to Land Systems Engineering. You will also have line management responsibilities and work closely with stakeholders to ensure training remains relevant, modern, and effective.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Pan-Service Requirement Setting and Joint Training Development Teams to develop training requirements.
Review and accept Formal Training Statements.
Lead the design, review, and maintenance of allocated courses and projects.
Manage the production and upkeep of Course Training Documentation in line with the Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT) Quality Standard.
Work with training staff to redesign and modernise REME/RAF leadership training, incorporating blended learning solutions.
Collaborate with the DSEME Examination Centre Validation Team and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop and maintain assessment strategies and methods.
Identify and implement opportunities for innovative training delivery, including the use of Virtual Learning Environments (VLEs).
Represent DSEME Course Design at key partner meetings.
Engage with external awarding bodies to align training with accredited qualifications.
Line manage Civil Service staff and support recruitment activities.
