DWP is looking to fill one role in Financial Management & Partnering, part of Finance Group. We are looking for an experienced, qualified finance professional to join our small team providing financial support to DWP’s Service Delivery Commercial, Financial and Shared Services, and Automated Buying, Business Services and External Resources Commercial functions covering a portfolio of c £2.8bn. The portfolio includes a wide variety of contracts in a number of areas including contact centres, banking, travel, logistics, and document management. It is a fast-moving and interesting role, and you will be in the heart of decision making for some of DWP’s most critical contracts.
The successful candidate will provide advice and insight on the financial implications of commercial contracts and commercial strategy decisions. Responsibilities will involve providing support throughout the commercial lifecycle, including procurement stages, pricing approaches, evaluation of bids, assessment of supplier viability, financial analysis and in-life management of contracts.
The role involves working in multi-disciplinary teams across the department and is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to hone their commercial skills. Hybrid working This job role may be suitable for hybrid working, which is where an employee works part of the week in their DWP office and part of the week from home. This is a voluntary, non-contractual arrangement and your office will be your contractual place of work. The number of days that anyone will be able to work at home will be determined primarily by business need but personal circumstances and other relevant circumstances will also be taken into account.
