We are looking for a Band 5 registered nurse to deliver high quality care within our Ophthalmic Pre-op service

St Pauls Pre-op is a busy department with a high throughput of patients.

We are looking for someone with experience of working in a high volume healthcare environment, experience of working in an Ophthalmic setting would be an advantage but not essential.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is keen to take on a new challenge and develop this role within the existing team. You will be given full training along with competency based assessment for skill development.

The successful applicant will be well supported by the nursing team and encouraged to develop the role to it's full potential.

The candidate must be enthusiastic, dynamic, flexible, reliable and ready to take on a demanding role working with a high volume of patients.

You will be working alongside a full multidisciplinary team.

We are looking for nurses who have excellent communication skills and can demonstrate passion and empathy to this client group and who want to make a difference to quality of our patients lives.

You will be working alongside an established Pre-op team and your duties will include telephone and face to face pre-operative assessments for patients who have been listed for Ophthalmic surgery.

It is important to ensure that all patients are physically and emotionally fit for surgery and that all social factors have been considered.
