Summary
Health & Safety
? Take responsibility for their own personal safety whilst at work
? Contribute to the safety of others through observing all rules and
best practise whilst working
? To only use processes when trained and signed off to use
Administration
? Once trained, be able to operate the following processes and
achieve consistent qualitative results with good efficiency
? Printing documents and preparing for production teams
? Inputting data into Excel, Word, Sage
? Scanning and creating electronic stored data
? Stock monitoring and counting
? Finished goods packing and dispatching
? Telephone answering and directing calls or forwarding messages
? Assisting with purchasing tasks

? Take an interest in sheet metal fabrication and electronics
assembly and increase general knowledge of what the business
units do and how they achieve it through trade magazines, web
browsing, following relevant podcasts, etc
? Attain relevant NVQ based apprentice qualification
? Identify areas where waste, in all its forms, can be reduced and
suggest changes that could lead to an increase in efficiency &
effectiveness
? Career progression through Purchasing & Materials

Level 3 Business Administration at Exeter College
Qualifications required
GCSE Maths and English Grade 4 (C) or equivalent
Skills required
Demonstrate a willingness to learn and
retain acquired knowledge
Computer literate in Microsoft Office
products.
Knowledge of procurement
techniques.
