Bring Smiles to Life – Become a Support Worker at Riverview Adult Short Breaks, Quarriers Village

Are you someone who brings joy wherever you go? Do you love listening to life stories, sharing laughs, and making each day count? If so, we’d love to hear from you!

At Riverview, part of our Adult Short Breaks Service in Quarriers Village, we believe in celebrating the little moments—because for the people we support, those moments mean everything.

Your New Opportunity

We’re looking for compassionate and committed Support Workers to join our team full-time (37 hours) and part-time (20+ hours). No two days are the same—so flexibility, creativity, and quick thinking are key.

This is more than just a job. It’s a chance to empower people to live independently, achieve personal goals, and enjoy life to the fullest. Whether it’s helping with daily routines, sharing a laugh over tea, or going bowling (don’t worry—we won’t make you sing at karaoke), you’ll be making a genuine difference.

What the Role Involves

Providing personal and practical support tailored to individual needs

Building positive, long-term relationships based on trust and understanding

Getting involved in activities, outings, and household tasks like cooking and cleaning

Being reliable and present—someone the people we support can count on

Working collaboratively with a dedicated and supportive team

Shift Patterns

Day shifts: 7:00am – 2:00pm or 2:00pm – 9:30pm

Sleepovers may be required and are paid accordingly

What You’ll Bring

A full driving licence (essential due to our rural location)

Natural compassion, patience, and kindness

Motivation and the ability to use your life experience to support others

A problem-solving mindset and resilience in a dynamic role

Strong communication and basic IT skills

What’s In It for You?

A rewarding role where no day is wasted

Meaningful relationships with the people you support

Generous holiday entitlement and staff benefits

Full training and development, with opportunities to gain qualifications

Be part of a team with Investors in People Platinum accreditation

You’ll be supported from day one and encouraged to grow both personally and professionally. If you're ready to make a real impact, come and be part of something special at Riverview.

Sound like you? Apply today and help us bring more smiles to life.

Please note: Successful candidates must register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting.
