In this role you will contribute to teaching, research, knowledge exchange, enterprise and business engagement in the Department of Engineering in the School of Computing, Engineering and Digital Technologies, as well as contributing to the wider School and University.

The post is available on a fixed term basis from 1 September 2025 to 31 July 2026 to cover maternity leave.

The post requires knowledge of chemical engineering and experience in teaching and assessing students at undergraduate and postgraduate level. You must be able to demonstrate contemporary knowledge and skills in this subject area. Some ability to develop curriculum materials including work-based learning would be desirable.

Please note that this role will be filled through a two-stage selection process:

Longlisting Stage:

Candidates who meet the initial criteria will be longlisted and invited to submit a short video presentation. Full details and guidance will be provided at that stage.

Shortlisting and Interview:

Following review of the video presentations, shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a formal interview.

If you are shortlisted, your interview will take place via Microsoft Teams.

The interview will take place on 22 September 2025.

The position we are filling is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and a satisfactory DBS disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service is required as part of our clearance procedures.
