- This is a key role in which you'll be responsible for actively managed third party strategies across several asset classes
- We’ll look to you to promote our Fund Research team as the sole centre of competence for primary fund research within the business area
- You'll generate new investment ideas regarding strategies, themes and asset allocation calls, and you'll contribute to further refining the team’s philosophy and processes
What you'll do
As a Fund Analyst, you’ll be analysing actively managed long-only strategies. With this, you’ll conduct and document initial strategy due diligence and selection, as well as being responsible for the ongoing monitoring processes.
As well as this, you’ll be:
- Managing relationships with fund managers and fund houses
- Maintaining an awareness of events in capital markets, keeping up to date with economic research insight and house views
- Implementing the preferred fund range and making sure that investment exposures are fully understood by clients and portfolio managers
- Promoting and championing an open and honest culture of challenging and being challenged
- Part of the broader investment strategy team, helping to review and develop new fund-of-one products, as well as supporting team projects
The skills you'll need
We're looking for someone with strong research skills and demonstrable experience in investments and fund research. You’ll have a keen eye for detail and strong analytical skills, with the ability to turn your insights into strategy rotation and portfolio construction.
We’ll expect you to already hold or be working towards a CFA qualification, or suitable equivalent. You'll be provided with full support and training including options to pursue additional professional qualifications and learnings.
Along with this, you’ll need:
- To be familiar with software packages such as Style Research, Morningstar Direct and Excel
- Knowledge of the UK, Luxembourg, and Irish UCITS fund market
- Excellent communication skills
- A flexible approach to your work and the ability to work well as part of a team
- The ability to work independently and at pace when required
