Role: Facilities Maintenance AssistantLocation: Beechen CliffStart Date: ASAP37 hours per weekHours: Monday-Thursday 2pm-10pm, Fridays - 2pm-9.30pm, All year round positionGrade 4, point 7-10 - £26,403-£27,694We are looking for a dynamic and hard working Facilities Maintenance Assistant to work within our Site team in this popular and high-performing school. Candidates must have a good sense of humour and the ability to work to deadlines and under pressure.Beechen Cliff School is a high-performing boys' school for students aged 11-18, with a co-educational Sixth Form, located in the beautiful city of Bath. We are committed to providing a supportive and engaging environment for our students and staff.Key Responsibilities:Act as the main keyholder and be responsible for the security of the premises, including locking up and responding to emergency call-outs.Supervise school lettings and escort contractors, monitoring their work and ensuring safe practices.Receive and distribute deliveries and maintain appropriate stock levels of cleaning and repair materials.Ensure the general tidiness and safety of outside areas, including litter removal and gritting paths in severe weather.Undertake emergency cleaning duties and general portage tasks, such as setting up and putting away furniture.Carry out checks on school minibuses and manage parking and visitors during school events.Applicants should be enthusiastic about working in a friendly school environment, supporting colleagues and leadership, as part of a motivated and professional team.There are many advantages to working for us including 26 days’ annual leave (rising to 31 after 5 years of service) plus bank holidays (pro rata), access to a government pension scheme, sick pay scheme, cycle-to-work scheme, free eye tests, and an employee assistance helpline.
