BS3 Community Development has a vacancy for a passionate and conscientious person to join our Family Services team as an Administrator. About you… Your role as Administrator will be crucial to the smooth running of our Early Education and Childcare (EE&C) services, supporting the Family Services Manager, Head of Early Education and Childcare, Deputy Managers and the wider team. You will be based in the Family Services team working closely alongside three colleagues. We pride ourselves on providing exceptionally high standard of care as well as having strong relationships with the families we serve. BS3 Community has an excellent local reputation. In this varied role I have expanded my administration experience through day-to-day admin tasks, planning creative projects and organising extracurricular activities. It is lovely to see joy on the Nursery children’s faces and know your work has played a part in that.” The successful candidate will have the following skills: • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and some customer service experience.
• The ability to multitask and organise their own time to meet multiple deadlines independently as well as working with colleagues.
• Proven IT skills (the successful candidate will have some administrative experience) and experience using Microsoft products. Experience using Famly software, GoogleDocs, WordPress and/or Canva is desirable.
• Attention to detail when maintaining records and ensuring that information held is up-to-date and accurate.
• A positive and can-do attitude and the ability to show initiative, flexibility and creative thinking.
• Good timekeeping and reliability.
• An interest or experience in working in a childcare setting is desirable.
• An interest in working for a charity/community organisation is desirable.Your main duties would include: • Providing excellent customer service to families accessing our services face-to-face, on the phone and via email.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of families accessing our services.
• Taking enquiries from prospective customers and maintaining our waiting lists.
• Collating and providing information to colleagues as required in order to facilitate the smooth running of our nurseries, including providing accurate registers, logging statutory information and ensuring that all data held within the department is up-to-date and accurate.
• Research projects as required to improve and develop our setting’s offering.
• Project managing parent/carer surveys to ensure that our customer’s voice is central to our decision-making process.
• Supporting with nursery tours for prospective families.
• Undertaking additional administrative projects to develop our services as required.This is a fulltime position, but we can be flexible for the right candidate. About us… Our Nurseries are open for children between the ages of nine months and 5 years from 8am to 6pm daily, 50 weeks of the year.
