Please refer to the attached job description and person specification for full details of responsibilities Undertake comprehensive biopsychosocial assessment and care planning for individuals accessing the IBPS. Provide a high level of clinical expertise in the assertive assessment and care of the psychosocial needs of people infected and affected by contaminated blood. Ensure that care includes a thorough risk assessment and risk management plan. To work closely with other members of the IBPS to develop a co-ordinated service. Utilise recent research findings in the advancement of best practice and in the delivery of evidence-based treatment plans with regards to physical, cognitive, perceptual, psychological and social functioning. To make recommendations based on specialist clinical reasoning, problem solving and risk assessment in order to maintain the persons functional abilities and quality of life within the community. To develop and maintain effective working links with other mental health services and other relevant statutory and voluntary agencies. To ensure effective communication with people accessing the service and all other Health & Social Care Professionals regarding all aspects of care. This will include patients who will have difficulties in understanding and communication. To provide and receive complex information that requires empathy and reassurance, communicating where there may be barriers to understanding. To attend any clinic relevant to the delivery of an effective service within clinicalspeciality.
