We are looking for experienced Healthcare support workers for our new Frailty Unit. We are a small unit with a rapid turn around of patients over 75 years of age.
We admit from Emergency department and from our frailty Same Day emergency care colleagues. We have a variety of patients who require rehabilitation, and assessment of care needs.
We have a strong safety ethic, wanting to empower patients to do as much for themselves as they can, but support when needed. Assessing for risk of falls, pressure damage, and putting in supportive equipment, in hospital at home on discharge.
We work within a MDT with Physio and OT, with daily support from Consultant led team of doctors.
Please be aware that this role isnot currently eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants should be aware of the requirement to independently obtain ongoing right to work in the UK beyond the expiry of any temporary or time-limited permissions. Evidence of this will need to be shared with the HR Team to ensure our records remain up to date.
Personal care if required, encouraging self help and motivating and supporting patient to care for themselves as much as possible.
Be guided by registered nurses as required. We offer band 2 if you have little experience with support to become a band 3 after competencies have been met and training achieved.
Band 3 can be offered if meets criteria for band 3 on application and interview.

• Provide holistic patient care, with attention to patient needs.
• Responsible for feeding and arranging food for patient s in our care, providing supplements as required.
• To encourage mobility assessing patients mobility and supporting as require.
We aim to #End Pyjama Paralysis in our unit by getting patient up and mobile as soon as possible, working with Physio and Occupational therapy teams.
