Shape Futures: School Principal Wanted in West Drayton, London
Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for transforming young lives? Do you believe every student deserves a chance to succeed, regardless of their past challenges? We're looking for a visionary Head of School to lead a vibrant and successful alternative provision school in West London.
This isn't your typical school. We're a supportive community dedicated to creating tailored, engaging learning environments for students with diverse needs. As part of a larger trust of specialist educators, we have a strong foundation and a "Good" rating from Ofsted, but we're always striving to do more. If you're ready to make a significant impact and lead a dedicated team, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Your Role: Impact and Inspiration
As our Head of School, you'll be the driving force behind our mission. You will:
-
Lead with a student-first philosophy, ensuring every child gets the individualised support they need to thrive.
-
Innovate the curriculum to not only deliver academic results but also build crucial life skills and personal confidence.
-
Champion our students and their special educational needs, building a strong, inclusive culture for all.
-
Mentor and develop a passionate team, helping them grow and excel in their careers.
-
Build strong community ties with parents, carers, and local partners, making our school a cornerstone of the community.
Who We're Looking For
You don't just need a title; you need a vision. We're seeking a leader who is:
-
An exceptional and inspiring motivator with a proven track record of managing teams and driving success.
-
Strategic and forward-thinking, able to balance ambitious educational goals with the practicalities of day-to-day operations.
-
A natural relationship-builder, skilled at connecting with a wide range of people, from students to staff and community members.
-
Experienced in working with young people who have special educational needs or challenging behaviours.
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and substantial experience in a senior leadership role are required. Additional leadership or special needs qualifications are a plus.
The Perks of the Job
We know that great leaders deserve great support. That's why we offer:
-
A competitive salary on the Outer London Leadership Pay Scale: L21-L27 (£85,396 - £98,280).
-
Generous annual leave and flexible working arrangements.
-
Access to extensive professional development and a strong network of specialists.
-
Robust well-being support, including mental health first-aiders.
-
Excellent benefits, including a cycle-to-work scheme, discounted gym memberships, and enhanced parental leave.
-
Enrollment in the Teachers Pension Scheme (TPS).
