Summary


This post offers an exciting opportunity for a band 5 occupational therapist to develop and consolidate their clinical skills in a specialist older peoples mental health inpatient setting. We are looking for a dynamic, professional and enthusiastic occupational therapist to join our friendly & supportive multi-disciplinary team.

Our team is a joint occupational therapy and physiotherapy service working with adults aged over 65 who have complex mental health conditions. We are an organic and functional older peoples inpatient service based at The Woodlands, Rotherham. We work across inpatient wards, patient homes and care homes.

Towork as a member of an inpatient multidisciplinary team assessing occupational needs and providing occupational therapy interventions on an individual and group basis to service users with acute, complex mental health needs.

To assist in the supervision of support staff and students and deliver interventions enabling service users to develop independent living skills and work towards individual recovery and goalsas part of safe effective discharge.

To develop links with statutory and voluntary sector community resources and ensure that ongoing occupational needs are addressed as part of a safe effective discharge process.
