Crynodeb
We are seeking an enthusiastic, polite, confident, resilient and organised individual to join the Orthopaedic Outpatient Service as a Healthcare Assistant.
You will be expected to have good interpersonal and communication skills to deal with the numerous patients that visit outpatients on a daily basis.
Be able to work without constant direct supervision using initiative within the level of competence for the post.
Act as a role model at all times, reflecting the Trust values and behaviours and delivering high standards of care. Be self-aware and open to receive and learn from feedback.
The successful candidate will undertake a range of clinical duties to promote patient safety. Other duties include completing mandatory training.
• To provide a high standard of individualised compassionate care to patients, whilst maintaining at all times, their privacy and dignity.
• To assess patients using observations and relevant safety tools.
• To identify abnormal findings and to ensure appropriate escalation process takes place
• To use the computer systems to input patient care.
• To communicate to the patient and carers their OPD journey
• To work along side the nurses, AHP and doctors within scope of practice.
• General housekeeping on the unit.
• Admin work accordingly and when required.
There is the expectation that you will be expected towork across the sitesof Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust.

The post holder will work as part of the Outpatient Department atCRH, HRI and Acre
To assist the multidisciplinary team to provide exemplary and compassionate care within the outpatient setting.
To actively assist in the delivery of individual programmes of care under the direction of qualified staff and alone.
To participate as an effective member of the team.
To follow instructions and report any changes
To proactively support the provisions of high standards of nursing care in the outpatient setting.
