About this opportunity
Are you looking for a role where you can use your creativity to bring communications to life? Then now is the perfect time to join as a Production Lead in our Creative Studio for a 9-12 months fixed term contract. The in-house team uses outstanding ideation, project management script/copywriting, graphic design, film production, and motion graphics capability to elevate our Group messages internally and externally. Over the last 3.5 years, we've built a strong reputation for quality and are used and deployed for all high-profile communications - the moments that matter!
The Creative Studio is an advisor to Group Corporate Affairs (GCA) Business Partner and channel teams in monitoring quality of creative, insight and output. This includes creative assets that are on brand, of high-quality and utilise best-practice for the objective and channel.
As Production Lead you'll hold a key leadership role in the team that will help us move to the next level. You'll be synonymous with the Creative Studio and will often be the face and name that people think of first. This role will be an all-rounder, equally capable of handling workflow, prioritising briefs with technical proficiency, and influencing and collaborating with partners at all levels as they are thinking/talking creatively.
You'll report directly into the Head of Digital & Creative Studio and work closely with the Film Lead and Creative Lead to handle workflow, quality levels, people, team reputation, culture, innovation and creativity.
What you'll be doing

As the first point of contact into the Creative Studio you'll oversee briefs received by the Studio, assessing scope and objectives. You'll work cross-departmentally as required to advise on creative routes for select briefs.

Lead a team of 4 direct reports, coaching and developing them and embodying our values.

Work alongside our agency partners and freelance network to know their strengths and weaknesses, their service offering, how to get the best out of them and when to deploy them.

Proactively grow our freelance network in-line with areas of demand, always maintaining the very highest standards for technical and creative capabilities. Challenge and interrogate constructively to make sure content and campaigns have clear strategic direction, objectives and impact.

Represent the very best of the studio and uphold the reputation of the team in every interaction.

Work cross-departmentally both internally and externally to lead the production of creative assets for our flagship events over the course of the year. Conduit between strategic objectives and creative output.

Know our remit and SLA inside out to apply the right judgement on what we do and don't do, handling that process with diplomacy and tact.

Partner with the Film Lead and Creative Lead to set the quality benchmarks at the highest level and help with QA, creative suggestions for improvements and review.

Attend washups and learning meetings post select campaigns and to optimise processes and fine-tune / optimise workflow and creative outputs.

Continuously review Creative Studio outputs in conjunction with our Access Network to ensure we are striving to become a centre of excellence for creative accessibility standards.

Have an in-depth grasp of the brand and act as its guardian, ensuring that all work delivered by the Creative Studio is of the highest consistency and calibre, always adhering to our brand guidelines.

Oversee photography QC, implementation of photography guidelines and selection of freelancers from this discipline, where appropriate.

Able to both have a granular understanding of the brand and department, but also exhibit bigger picture thinking to develop positioning and deliver against scope.

Experience in an agency environment would be advantageous.
